Bruce Rubidge, Conference Chair Dear attendees of the 22nd PSSA Conference field trip, We have had an overwhelming response for people wishing to participate on the one-day post conference field trip on 13 September and have gone out of our way to accommodate the more than 100 delegates who indicated they wish to attend. The field trip visits sites in the Cistecephalus, Daptocephalus and Lystrosaurus declivis Assemblage Zones, and includes the Permo-Triassic boundary. It will run from 8h00 to 17h30.

PalNews is an important part of the PSSA. The very first PalNews issue came out in 1977 and over the last 46 years there have been a total of 81 issues of the biannual newsletter. These cover all aspects of palaeontology in southern Africa. From fieldtrips to lab news, from conference attendances to information on the latest research from the community. With the world back in full swing so is the PSSA and what better way to kick start a new era than to freshen up the look of the society's website! We have taken a rather unique approach to the colour and design scheme only made possible by the wonderful art of Robyn Brown at Sciism. Blog coming soon Come back soon for stories from the 21st Biannual Conference of the Palaeontological Society of Southern Africa
