I am a vertebrate palaeontologist from South Africa and an assistant professor at Stony Brook University. Plant eating dinosaurs are my favourite, especially the baby ones! My research has mainly focused on basal sauropodomorphs, the ancestors to well-loved giants like Diplodocus. Using a multidisciplinary approach that includes CT scanning, osteohistology (looking at bones under a microscope), functional and comparative anatomy, statistics and more, I explore how these creatures grow, move and evolve.
