Bruce Rubidge, Conference Chair ![]() Dear attendees of the 22nd PSSA Conference field trip, We have had an overwhelming response for people wishing to participate on the one-day post conference field trip on 13 September and have gone out of our way to accommodate the more than 100 delegates who indicated they wish to attend. The field trip visits sites in the Cistecephalus, Daptocephalus and Lystrosaurus declivis Assemblage Zones, and includes the Permo-Triassic boundary. It will run from 8h00 to 17h30. Because of the large number of delegates, the ESI (Wits) has agreed that we can use their 50-seater bus to transport Wits staff and students, and their transport cost will be an internal ESI arrangement.
Field Trip Cost (includes lunch, field guide, entrance fees): R 600 (non-Wits delegates) R 350 (Wits delegates) Please pay the relevant fee by 15 August (see below for payment details) If you indicated on the registration form that you are participating in the field trip, and no-longer wish to attend, you must please inform Marina Rubidge (email: [email protected]) that you no-longer wish to attend. Failure to do so will mean that you are liable for the field trip costs. Delegates are reminded that PSSA Registration payments were meant to have been paid by 30 June. Some delegates have not yet done so.
